Fuel In The Cauldron

In the last lecture,Randy Pausch said "The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people."Perseverance is steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. It is steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, ... Perseverance understands that temporary failure is not permanent failure. It only means start again. It understands that 'no man is ever whipped, until he quits-in his own mind. Henry Ford met with temporary defeat, not only at the beginning of his automobile career but after he had gone far toward the top. Abraham Lincoln is synonymous with this quality. General Buhari epitomises this to Nigerians. Perseverance understood that when defeat comes, you should accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild them and once more move to your coveted goal. In the word of Winston Churchill "If you are going through hell, keep going."
