Keeping to your words

Word that have power are words that are kept. Never make a promise you can't keep. When you don't keep to your words you begin to loose worth. Your word is your bond! When you start keeping to your word(s) you are training your mind to always get what it wants. Words are product of the mind. It takes discipline and strong willpower to keep. Train yourself in this act and like every thing it becomes your lifestyle. While training to 'keep to your words' you are bound to make mistakes, but it is okay you are still in the learning stage. Keeping to your words is simply 'honoring your words'. When we don't keep to our words it communicates to the other person that we don't value them. They learn that they can not count on us. It also mean we don't value our words. Ultimately it affects our self-esteem and our life. Before you make promises try to be honest with yourself about why you are committing to something. What are you getting out of the deal? Am I being realistic? That might clue you in as to whether or not you should make the promise in the first place. Always know this that there is nothing in life that says you MUST make promises to others. Keeping to your words is power!
