How To Know

TheThe Cameroonian proverb affirms "he that always ask question will always get answers." Question define the quality of ones life. Question moves one from here to the other place.

It was question that brought science thus far. Are we not always asking question when we think? Are rhetorical questions really not answered?

The beauty of childhood is the thought that the world owes them an answer. We bug the elderly with wanting to know every thing we see. And this how our information about things were formed. Mila Kundera capture this as the period that start our living in 'the unbearable lightness of being' : "Indeed, the only truly serious questions are ones that even a child can formulate. Only the most naive of questions are truly serious. They are the questions with no answers. A question with no answer is a barrier that cannot be breached. In other words, it is questions with no answers that set the limit of human possibilities, describe the boundaries of human existence.

I suppose some truthful answer start coming when we answer Vera Nazarian test: If you have never changed your mind about some fundamental tenet of your belief, if you have never questioned the basics, and if you have no wish to do so, then you are likely ignorant.

But true knowing comes after the question we ask. In the sweet thought of Claude Lévi-Strauss "The scientist is not a person who gives the right answers, he's one who asks the right questions."
