Disatisfication leading to productivity
I regularly get post from Jon Culloch,the Evil Bad Genuis. I love his post and being someone whose interest is in self development to become efficient and effective I love to share this with you.
But therein lies the danger: comfort. Nowt wrong with being comfortable and in familiar surroundings, but it's also true we can get too comfortable.
We humans are creatures of habit and strive always for homeostasis internally, and for consistency externally.
We don't like change, in the main.
We've evolved this way for many good reasons, but what served us then doesn't necessarily serve us now.
Here's the harsh reality: wherever you are now in your business is the result of the actions you've taken.
And if you ain't where you want to be, then carrying on with the comfortable and the familiar won't lead you into change.
You'll stay pretty much as you are.
Yeah, so comfort and familiarity are great.
But human progress — your progress — is always driven by dissatisfaction... and scratching that itch necessarily means uncomfortable shit goin' down.
You know the answer, right?
