Money is never enough
There is nothing like enough money. Money is never enough.
My first job after secondary school paid me five thousand naira. I complained that it is not enough and wish if I have more I will do more(foolish me!). I remember early eighties when Dad pay his workers salary of eighty-five naira per month, and they leave his presence happy. I once worked somewhere where I got 25k and I still complained.
We all want more money because we secretly believe with more money we could do more. When we get pay rise at work we soon outlived the euphoria of the increment and start wishing if only we get more.
My friend, Gabby, said the law of diminishing return is useless when it comes to money.
Insatiable.
More...we yearn for.
You see,it is not more money. It is having a plan. Money is beyond the paper. Money is a vehicle. Pardon my conviction, money will never be an end.
Money is a force. Money is beautiful. Money is not evil. I LOVE money.Ayn Rand argued that "...you think that money is the root of all evil? Have you ever asked what is the root of money? Money is a tool of exchange, which can't exist unless there are goods produced and men able to produce them. Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value. Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears or of the looters, who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider eviL."
Money is never enough. Politician go into politics to make money. Labourer work tireless to get money.Prostitute hang at dark corner for money. We all want money and more. Don't listen to those self righteous sanctimonious people who will tell you what name money is not.
Money, success, breakthrough all seems to mean the same. I know this, don't give me that look.
But beyond all, money is an idea. A conspiracy to keep the poor with his poor mentality. If leaves were money tender, erosion will have kill the poor.
Have a have mentality. Think of always having. You always have money, it is the amount that may not be satisfying. If it is not in your hands someone is with it.
If you want to spend money: plan, save and get.
Stop thinking of more of it will be enough.i agree with Barack Obama when he said "focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. And it will leave you unfulfilled."
Wish for more.
Swell it and solve issues with it.
In conclusion in the words of my mentor, John C. Maxwell,"When it comes to money, you can't win. If you focus on making it, you're materialistic. If you try to but don't make any, you're a loser. If you make a lot and keep it, you're a miser. If you make it and spend it, you're a spendthrift. If you don't care about making it, you're unambitious. If you make a lot and still have it when you die, you're a fool--for trying to take it with you. The only way to really win with money is to hold it loosely--and be generous with it to accomplish things of value."
Enjoy it!
